After Dark Online | Inclusive Design

In this month’s After Dark Online, we are celebrating National Week of Deaf People, on Monday 19 September by covering the topic of Inclusive Design. We will be hearing from two guest speakers, talking about what Inclusive Design means to a project like Cross River Rail.

Our first guest speaker will be Cross River Rail Accessibility Advisor, Enda Cotter to discuss the types of considerations required for the deaf community and how this is an important part of the station design process.

Our second guest speaker will be Deaf Connect’s Community Engagement / Project Officer, Petra Svab who will talk about the work Deaf Connect do, how they engage with the community and how their partnership with Cross River Rail will benefit stations and users in the future.
