The Cross River Rail Experience Centre is a community engagement and education hub developed in partnership with Queensland Museum, providing detailed project information, digital engagement experiences and learning opportunities for visiting members of the public as well as school groups.

Opening Hours

Entry to the Experience Centre is free and the centre is open six days a week.

Please note that the Experience Centre is closed on public holidays. Please note, the centre will also be closed on Friday 26 April.

The Cross River Rail Experience Centre is open and operating under a COVID-safe Plan in line with Queensland Government advice.

Some exhibits will operate under reduced functionality or reduced capacity in line with our COVID-safe measures.

Accessibility at the Centre

Cross River Rail is committed to making the Experience Centre accessible to everyone. There is an elevator from the ground level and wheelchair access is available throughout the Experience Centre.

Please note that on the first weekend of every month, we will host ‘Quiet Time’ activities in the learning room. Activities can be found on the What’s On page and will have ‘Quiet Time’ in their name.

As a rough guide, it could take up to one hour to explore this interactive space, however, the Centre is designed for people to come, linger and be inspired. You are welcome to stay for as long as you like during opening hours.

Children are very welcome in the Centre. There are specific displays and activities for children and we run free activities on weekends and school holidays. See the event page for more details about upcoming activities.

Food and drinks are not permitted in the Centre.
